I have been a forestry professional for over half a century. Like many in the profession, this has been a tremendously rewarding experience, despite the many changes and challenges the industry has undergone during this period.
However, other aspects of life have also been equally important to me, particularly family and friends. Outdoor activities also largely feature, including hunting, motorcycle riding and sea kayaking.
At this stage in my life, I believe there are still further adventures and excitement around the corner to keep me entertained.
Do you try more to be original, or to deliver to readers what they want?
What I have written is totally authentic, without exaggeration or embellishment.
What is it about your chosen genre that you love?
I like this genre because everything that is written is real.
What was the first book that made you cry?
I can’t ever recall crying as a result of reading a book.
If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
Maybe I would have written more as a child/teenager, however, I was never to know that I would write a book in later life.
Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym? Why?
No. I have no issues with anyone being aware that I am the actual author.
How did publishing your first book change your writing process?
Considerable more care and time was required to ensure a better result, as well as some professional assistance.
